Big news from the Tappr team: we’re now a GS1 Germany Solution Partner. This marks a meaningful milestone for us as we continue to expand our partnerships with suppliers and technology vendors in the German market.

You may already know we’re a GS1 Netherlands partner, and this latest step strengthens our ability to bring standardized, scalable solutions to our partners and customers across Europe and globally.

What is GS1 Germany?

GS1 Germany plays a critical role in shaping the future of data-driven, efficient commerce. They are best known for managing barcodes and GTINs (Global Trade Item Numbers), but their impact reaches much further. GS1 Germany works with businesses to create smoother, more consistent supply chain processes through shared standards.

In Germany alone, more than 95,000 customers use GS1 products.

Becoming part of this ecosystem gives Tappr the opportunity to integrate even more deeply with the workflows and expectations of businesses specifically in Germany.

What it means for Tappr (and our clients)

For us at Tappr, being part of the GS1 community is a natural fit. Our DPP platform has always prioritized flexibility and freedom, and we designed Tappr to be GS1-compliant so that our customers are never tied to one system or provider.

For our clients, this partnership brings added confidence. Whether you’re based in Berlin, Rotterdam, or anywhere in between, it means a more unified, future-proof experience that adapts to changing circumstances, such as shifting regulations or switching vendors.

As regulations around Digital Product Passports begin coming into effect, brands need solutions that keep them ahead. Tappr’s commitment to GS1 standards makes integration effortless, helping businesses unlock the full potential of these essential tools.

Useful Resource: GS1 Digital Link

Tappr supports the GS1 Digital Link standard, which is becoming increasingly important as product data becomes more dynamic. With GS1 Digital Link, brands retain full ownership of their QR codes. That means if you change systems or update your strategy, the codes still work and the brand stays in control.
