Studio Anneloes Redefines Transparency with Tappr’s Digital Product Passports

By turning every garment into a digital story, Studio Anneloes and Tappr are proving that transparency is the new standard in sustainable fashion.

When you design clothes that last, how do you make their impact visible?

That’s the question Studio Anneloes set out to answer. For years, the Dutch fashion brand has led with purpose - crafting timeless pieces that empower women to feel confident, strong, and comfortable. But as their sustainability journey evolved, one thing became clear: it was time to bring transparency to the surface.

A New Chapter in Sustainable Fashion

Studio Anneloes has always believed that responsible design doesn’t stop at production. Each garment tells a story - from the materials chosen to the way it’s cared for. What they needed was a way to connect that story directly to their customers.

By partnering with Tappr, they found the missing link. Together, we launched Digital Product Passports (DPPs) across Studio Anneloes’ collections, turning each piece into a digital window of transparency and traceability.

Now, every Studio Anneloes item comes with a QR code that reveals its journey - from sourcing and production to care advice and environmental impact.

What used to live deep in data sheets now lives in the palm of every customer’s hand.

From Concept to Collection

The rollout began in late 2023 with the brand’s @WORK by Studio Anneloes collection, before expanding across the entire line the following year. Behind the scenes, Tappr’s DPP platform integrated seamlessly with their existing systems, centralizing product data and automating care labels, compliance tracking, and sustainability reporting.

In less than two years, Studio Anneloes achieved around 80% DPP coverage, putting them years ahead of upcoming EU textile regulations. But the most exciting part isn't compliance - it is connection.

Customers are scanning, learning, and engaging. They can see how to care for their garments, understand the story behind the fabrics, and appreciate the impact of choosing better-made clothes.

As co-owner Jan-Willem van Loon put it:

“Our garments are of the highest quality and last very long. But washing and wearing them still has an impact - and that’s something we can actively reduce.”

Transparency That Unlocks Opportunity

With DPPs in place, Studio Anneloes has unlocked more than transparency - they’ve opened the door to circular fashion. The same infrastructure now powers product registration and soon will also feature resale, making it easier for customers to buy, sell, and extend the life of their pieces.

It’s a model that makes sustainability measurable, actionable, and most importantly personal.

Engagement data shows that customers are interacting with this content more than ever before. When information is accessible, people act on it. For Studio Anneloes, that’s proof that technology and sustainability don’t just coexist - they strengthen one another.

A Glimpse Into What’s Next

Studio Anneloes isn’t slowing down. Their DPP system continues to evolve, with new features being added regularly. The next step? Integrating resale and other circular fashion options directly into the passport experience.

By combining craftsmanship with digital innovation, the brand is shaping what the future of fashion transparency can look like - and Tappr is proud to be part of that journey.

Because when technology meets timeless design, sustainability stops being a buzzword - and becomes a measurable, living practice.
