Geisha switched to Trace. Its suppliers preferred it.

Geisha wanted better traceability data and a workflow its suppliers could work with. With Tappr, the brand moved its supplier base to Trace in one go, carried over its historical data and turned Becosoft ERP exports into structured order information. Suppliers told Geisha they preferred the new tool.

Suppliers migrated with historical data intact, and positive feedback on the new workflow

Better traceability starts with the people supplying the data.

Geisha already had a supplier-traceability platform. The challenge was getting useful information through it.

Suppliers found the previous workflow cumbersome. Onboarding took time, and the data coming back was limited. For the sourcing team, the quality of the programme depended on how easily suppliers could understand a request and respond.

Geisha needed a simpler way to collect that information, while preserving the work already done.

A new platform, with the history intact.

Changing platforms meant moving an established supplier base and its historical records. Geisha and Tappr brought both across to Trace in one migration.

One migration

The established supplier base moved across to Trace in a single step.

History carried over

Existing information stayed part of the programme, so the sourcing team kept continuity.

Preferred by suppliers

The clearest feedback came from the suppliers: they told Geisha they preferred the new tool.

Make each request easier to answer.

Trace gives suppliers a direct route into the work Geisha needs them to complete.

Open the request from a link

Suppliers follow a link to the request and start responding, without creating an account.

Handle repeat styles together

Multi-select lets suppliers work across repeat styles in one go, reducing repetitive input.

See what still needs attention

Clear status information shows what is complete and what remains open, helping suppliers understand their next step.

These details matter because the supplier experience shapes the information the brand receives. A request that is easier to complete gives the programme a stronger starting point.

Becosoft export PO · GTIN · SKU · qty Trace request

Geisha’s article and purchase-order information already lived in Becosoft. Re-entering that information for traceability added work to the process.

Tappr transforms Becosoft exports into structured order lines, including purchase-order references, GTINs, SKUs and quantities. The traceability workflow can then use the product and order information Geisha already maintains.

For the sourcing team, that connects supplier requests to the commercial records behind them. Suppliers receive requests grounded in the relevant products and orders.

Build the next step on the data already collected.

The next phase is a consumer-facing Digital Product Passport on Geisha’s own domain, alongside the expansion to full tier-2 coverage.

The supplier information collected through Trace will provide the foundation for that passport. As coverage grows, Geisha can connect more of the information behind its products to the experience customers will eventually open.

The programme begins with supplier participation and structured data, then builds towards the public product passport.

Questions about the Geisha programme

Can an existing traceability programme move to Tappr?
Geisha moved its supplier base from a previous platform to Trace in one go, with historical data carried over. Its case shows how a migration can preserve earlier work while introducing a new supplier workflow.
How does the Becosoft connection work?
Becosoft exports are transformed into structured order lines containing purchase-order references, GTINs, SKUs and quantities. This brings existing product and order information into the traceability workflow.
Do suppliers need a new account?
No. Suppliers access requests through a link. They can respond without creating an account, work across repeat styles with multi-select and see which requests still need attention.
What changed for Geisha?
The supplier base moved to Trace with its history intact, ERP exports became structured order information, and suppliers told Geisha they preferred the new tool. These are the reported outcomes of the programme.
Is the consumer Digital Product Passport already live?
The consumer-facing passport is the next phase described in this programme. It will use information collected through Trace and appear on Geisha’s own domain. Extending traceability to full tier-2 coverage is also part of that next phase.
